I recently bought a compressor that had been stolen from me several years ago. No I couldn't charge anyone as I had no proof. However the $50.00 I paid for it I would have paid as a reward for the return. Anyway, After putting on a new motor to replace the fubared one, fixing the compressor head so it worked again by adding a missing reed valve, I'm still kerfufulled on how to make it run properly. The gas engine will fire up but will not run at a high rpm, it just idles along and the tank doesn't get over 60 psi. I'm almost positive there used to be a fitting that is now missing but I can't find any diagrams from the manufacterer. It was sold by Princess Auto and manufactured by UnoAirCompressors. Uno has not returned any emails I've sent. So now I hope someone out there will know the piece and have a number or source for me.
The spot that I think is missing a fitting is where the 1/4" copper tube meets the tee fitting between the pilot unloader and the throttle bullwhip.
Here are some pics;
In this pic you can see the compressed air source leading to the check valve on the bottom. There is a 1/4" flare fitting with tube going to the tee I mentioned earlier. To the left of the tee is the pilot valve and to the right is the throttle bullwhip cable.
