About a year ago I bought a Master 60,000 BTU propane bullet heater. It worked really well but conked out right before Xmas. Luckily it was still under warranty and I was able to take it to a local repair shop to fix. They advised that a thermocouple had blown and replaced it.

When I got home I tried to start it and nothing happened. I plan to take it back to the repair shop to fix, but am also upset that it is not working during the coldest time of the year. I also called the retailer back and asked what they could do as well. They advised that if after I take it back to the repair shop and I am still having issues, they would gladly refund my money.

So I am trying to see what other portable heaters, gas or electric that others can recommend and are satisfied with in the event I have to go to "plan B".

Thanks for the help

Is this for a garage/ shop area? I have a Ready Heater ruled by kerosene and have been happy with it.

Yes it is for a garage. I goggled reddy heaters but am not clear where you can buy it from.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Do you have natural gas available? If you do I would certainly consider switching over to natural gas rather than propane.

Yes I do but I just sent major $$ on garage and exterior renovations and I am looking for an economical quick fix that doesn't require contractors. I may pursue that course at some point though.
