I'm in school for automotive and we have boosterpak jump boxes. They have always worked for us and I'm sure with more research you'll find what your looking for.

I like the SO one I got last year. It's price is very comparable to other good jumpers packs. No problems jumping stone cold diesel bobcats. A cheap alternative that I used for years, build a cart to hold the largest battery the junk yard has. Make up jumper cables on one end and you are in business.

Spend a little extra and buy the jump and carry. They work great.

I use a deep cycle battery strapped on a small moving dolly along with a set of jumper cables.

Couldn't agree more!!! Having taken apart a few jump boxes to salvage the cables and clamps after they died, I was floored to see many of them had 10ah agm batteries. I have since made my own with an Odyssey battery in a small cordura tool bag and cables made from old welding cable. Using welding cable with real rubber insulation is a huge benefit up here in Canada when boosting generally happens when it's minus 30 and the vinyl cables want to spring off the battery.

A lawnmower battery with 300 cranking amps works too,bolt a set of good jumper cable leads to each post.Hook up a battery tendor to it when not in use.Have one at work,starts a Ford with a powerstroke just fine.The store bought jumper boxes don't last.You save money building your own.
This is what I did. I repurposed a PC625, it packs a lot of punch in a small package. I had to do a little adapting to attach top post adapters.

As several others have suggested, get a Jump 'n Carry. Get the largest capacity you can afford. I have the 900. Best damn money I've spent in a long, long time. You can leave it plugged in - the newer versions have auto charging circuits built in. It will boost quite a bit between charges.
domain, in my experience the jump battery packs seem to be stronger.
Personal experience: We had a PT Cruiser at the shop sitting for two months waiting on payment to start a transmission replacement. The battery was weak when it arrived, and dead during the swap. I have a deep cycle battery that is less then 2 years old and always charged. Jumper cables and this battery would not start the PT Cruiser, but one of the mechanics harbor freight jump boxes did it with no problem.

You sure that's enough for diesel trucks and heavy equipment? I spent an evening searching for posts here and reading other reviews and ended up getting the 660, however, I got the impression the capacity of the 950 would be better suited to the OP's needs. BTW, ignore reviews about the lack of auto charging (trickle) on the 660, they have added that in the last few years. The difference between the 660 and 950 is reduced to the capacity you need (and weight of course).

The 660 jnc is very good. Dual battery diesels are funny depends on how bad both the batteries are I used to pull the batteries out and put in my own batteries I have to get them in the building. That is Labor and time though. The JNC 950 is better but the 660 gets it done on 99% of anything
