Those little things will jumpstart most vehicles maybe a few times and need to be recharged. Do be warned, if the alternator is bad and backfeeds for whatever reason it will FRY those lithium packs.

I know several people that swear by these ones. bit more expensive then the ones above but have the power to start warmed over v8's.

No way I'd pay $150 for that... same exact case, cables, and accessories as the $50 unit I linked to... I'd bet $500 it's the same internally as well... just a fancier paint job. All of these leave the same factory in China.

I work at a junk yard, and I use a Powerall one from Amazon, works great. No problem starting GM V8s with no battery connected. Beats carrying around the big jump box. Been using the one I have now for over a year. It's just now starting to get a bit weaker, but I've definitely gotten my use out of it.

Will Portable Jump Starters work on larger group size batteries? What are the limits?

What are the most reliable brands to buy?

To each there own, the specs on the one i posted are a bit better. I know people that have this specific unit and they work well.

Idk about them all being the same there can be a huge difference in the capability and quality of batteries that are the same size... good batteries cost $$$

Just because it looks the same doesn't mean it is the same as far as tools go there are plenty of chinese clones that look the same but aren't the same as what they are copying. idk much about these but I definitely would not go with the cheapest one I could find.

I'd just try to find a mid range one with good reviews claimed specs for batteries can be deceiving
