Can someone recommend me a rollaround tool cart? Something like this, although in plastic would work too. I'm thinking for under $100, and it doesn't have to be super high quality as I already own a snap on one, just need something for in my apartment to make it's way to my parking garage as the snap on one is 230 miles away. I might swing by Sam's Club later to see what they have, but can't think of anywhere else that I could get one from that I could not have to pay shipping on.

Thanks in advance. And I have a headache, so that post might be a little hard to read, trying not to think too hard.

Edit: something like this

You might check Napa or some of the other auto parts places. Seems like the places up here in the PNW are carrying everything but car parts now.....

Wish I could help, but the Craftsman version I have is a roll around box (bottom cabinet, 2 drawers, molded top). Works well...

~$70

Thanks guys. I didn't even think about Sears. I didn't make it to Sam's club yet.

I will check the local auto parts stores here in Tampa, maybe even go to Pep Boys ::barf:: and then resort to online ordering. I was hoping to get it for Friday as a I have a little job I need to do on my car.

I would check Sears and Harbor Freight if you have one in town. The HF ones are not the quality of the Sears or Snap On but it will be under $50.

There's a HF in Tampa...They have a cart similar to what you are looking for...heco en China... I picked up a similar one at a Pep-Boys here in Phx. I use some laquer thinner to clean off residue from the manufactures sticker and rubbed through the paint, but for the price it works fine.

Yeah, I just received and assembled a Harbor Freight model last night. Definitely not the quality of some of the previously mentioned carts, but for $34.95 - it'll do nicely.

$19.95?!? MAN! I've never seen them that cheap. I should have waited! Dangit! I've been ripped! :tantrum2:

I use Goof Off to remove the gummy residue left by decals and such. On a plastic surface, though I would use WD-40. It is not as fast-acting as the Goof Off, but is much gentler to the underlying surface.

Hrmmmm... I think I am going to sears to pick up that one with the plastic top. Looks like it will be perfect for me, with the 2 drawers and everything.

If not, then I will do the Harbor Freight deal.

Thanks guys, I will let ya'll know what I decide!

The Sears one is great.. I am thinking about picking up another for future use...

Build the workbench high enough so that it can be stored underneath and then I am set...

Top is nice for the work area and the drawers are an added bonus....

If you want something with more options, the local Tractor Supply store had one of the multi-function ones on clearance. I think it was about $50. It converted to a tool cart, small garden cart and a hand truck. I'll check there tommorow if I remember.

Now why didn't I think of that ? BTW, what's Goof Off made from ? I've heard it's just plain old Kerosene.

It doesn't smell like kerosene to me.

Just thinking out loud about the Goof Off...My choice of cart if I did it over would be the Craftsman...you can never have enough drawers for storage...and the top for placing parts/tools while you work...

Here's what's in Goof Off...I'm not sure what that means...I'm not a Chemist dang it...I'm an Engineer...

Ingredients from MSDS/Label

Chemical CAS No / Unique ID Percent

2-(2-Methoxyethoxy)ethanol 000111-77-3 1-5
Xylene (mixed isomers) 001330-20-7 90-95

I found that data on this site:

http://householdproducts.nlm.nih.gov/index.htm

Lots of interesting data found there...MSDS for about every item you would use in the garage/house...

I ended up going to Sears and couldn't find that one cart fpr ~70$. I looked at the other ones and decided I wasn't going to be able to lift them with tools in them, so I just bought the regular cart I was looking for from them. I got the last one, which was on the floor, so I got 10% off, and it was assembled.

I need to be able to get the thing up and down about 6 steps when I want to use it. Plus, with this one, I feel I will make better use of it in the future.

Thanks guys, I will post pics up when I get a chance, since I know everyone likes pics :)

I purchase a Rubbermaid Utility Cart from eBay for around $65. I prefer the plastic cart just in case it rolls into my cars.
