Has anyone got experience with this type of structure ?

They use the term "portable" everywhere. I think this is to avoid permit issues. You can start out with a simple carport type structure but then close it in. I guess its 'portable' in the sense you could unscrew it all and return it to a stack of parts.

Ya I’ve got a 18 x 40. But I wouldn’t consider it portable.

Many places don't consider a building on a concrete slab as being portable.

Similar to VersaTube in the U.S. Not much fun to put up, as they squirm all over the place when you're building them, which I found out when I built one last year. If you disassembled one, I can't imagine how you'd ever get sheets/tubing lined up the same, so you'd be drilling extra sets of holes. The one I built was all self-tapping, sealing screws with rubber washers.

Portability depends on how you secure them to the ground, and you do want to secure them to the ground.

My neighbor has one of these (different brand). It's held up well 2-3 years.. It's open in front. It's largely covered parking for an RV.
It's "portable" in that you could disassemble it with hand tools and is much less substantial in terms of steel than a standard bolt up.
My only "caution" would be that these do not come connected to the ground, you need to bolt them into something... Foundation or footers... Other than that, I believe most are "compliant" with structure engineering and wind/snow loads.

The suggestion that it doesnt need a permit interests me, I guess the City might have something to say about that. Has anyone had any City hassles from one of these ?

Saw something where a guy built a steel building/garage that was mounted on wheels.
He was not allowed to build an extra garage on his property so he poured concrete (with permits) and build the garage with casters on the bottom.
When the county found out and came to check it out he showed tham that it was portable/moveable and after some arguing and such he got away with it.

I also saw where there were some people that took shipping containers and put trailer axles and wheels and a tow toung on them to make them in “trailers” as a way to get around not being able to put a container in their back yard.

I was looking at this stuff at one time as I was looking at ways to get around restrictions I had on a home I used to have

Portable can also be interpreted as no need to attach to the ground therefore it can be moved when you want
