Since my company downsized me into a compact van from a 3/4-ton, I've got a lot less room and need to re-organize. I've been looking at the DeWalt TSTAK system and like the looks of it, but I can't find **** in stores to actually get my hands on them. I don't carry a lot of tools or hardware for that matter, so I'm looking at the Deep Box & 9-Tray Organizer.

I carry maybe half a dozen different specialty screws & bits, some driver extensions and misc drywall/wood screws & washers. I have my Ryobi 18v Drill & Impact Driver with 2 batteries and a charger. Which I think everything should fit in. This would leave me using my Huskey tool bag for all my screw drivers and other odd tools (hex allens, a few sockets and torx driver bits). I don't always need to carry a bunch of stuff with me into the job site, just a couple of hand tools and a few pieces of hardware, so I could start using my tote that the Ryobi drills came in for that duty... but when I have larger installs, I'm using almost all of my tools, so being able to bring everything in could help.

Anyone else use these types of systems out of their truck/van?

FYI - This is what my company has me driving now.

I don't use them out of a truck, but started buying TSTAK and the Ridged system also.

The TSTAK will not seal out water like the Dewalt Tough System, but otherwise as good or better than most portable toolboxes. Your Ryobi stuff will fit the deep for sure, might fit into the 9 compartment also.

I have at least one of each box they make plus the 2 dollies, for about 2 months now and find they are great. Consider the single deep drawer for your fasteners, comes with 4 medium and 2 large bins

I just received a KLIEN 55418-19 from Electric Supply Inc in Tampa. I know it has a pocket for your drill and space for the charger, and 55 other pockets for whatever you think you might need after that.

I am really pumped to be working out of it soon. It's a little bit tall but comfortable to tote around. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Also customer service with Electric Supply Inc was AWESOME. I'm not in Tampa anymore so I had to pay UPS ground to get it which bumped the price to $92 and change, but that's still the lowest price out there since Home Depot stopped stocking this bag on their website. The Electric Supply website wouldn't let me make the buy so I called for a sales rep and he was enthusiastic and courteous and explained that they sell all tools at cost +10%.

I looked at those rolling toolbox sets and they were just too big for what I needed. I like the Klein because with 3 zippers 100% of my tools are in reach.

SO I was in Home Depot this weekend, one that actually had a large storage section. I came across this 22" Husky box. It's got the little bins on top that were necessary and plenty of room below... plus it's not too bulky for when I have to haul everything inside. We'll see how the plastic lid holds up as I think that may be the one weak point, but that could probably be the same for the DeWalt bx I was looking at too.
