You guys have any recommendations? Have looked at Kester, Worx, and some others I can't remember.

We bought a Keter for my son last year. It's holding up well. I used a few times and it was sturdier then I thought it would be.

I purchased the Keter portable table recently and I really like it. Easy to set up and take down and is sturdy. Mine came with two clamps.

Get a used Black&Decker Workmate 225 or 400. They are adjustable sturdy and well made. Super cheap as well. Got a 225 for $25 on Craigslist.

Do not get any of the newer ones that are made out of cheap metal and plywood.

Have used my Keter for several years, my brother has beat on his for years and it still works great, just as my dad's and uncles.... I definitely think highly of the Keter.

I have two of the 6 foot folding plastic tables from walmart. they work well for upholstery projects , painting , a place to set the chop saw ( wood ) I don't pound on them but they are stronger than I thought they would be.

I have a couple of the Workmate tables. About the only use they get is when I have to set up the mitre saw.
My go too work table? A couple of saw horses with an old interior door laid on top... Sets up easy, breaks down fast, stores out of the way and you can screw, glue and paint on it to your hearts content... Just used it the other day to re-screen the side door.

This is exactly what I used... best part was I picked up the used solid door from the curb over 10 years ago and I still use it today.

Me to! I've picked up bi-fold closet doors as well and used them for years!

I want to get a Keter and/or Black and Decker, but have a few very much used banquet tables, 6' and 8', as well as a plastic folding table about 5', all very handy for all sorts of uses.

I have a husky from home depot. It doesn't have any of the clamping or other things like the workmate. I like it for it's simplicity and how it folds up.

Note: I paid about 1/2 the current price and probably wouldn't pay the current asking price.

This is probably more a question of personal preference and what the “work” is. A lot will depend on what you actually wanna use it for. Someone looking to cut up wood with a circular saw, will prob like something different than a guy that wants a base for a miter saw.

Actually, this will be for table saw/miter saw stand use, cutting boards, etc.

Also important, a place to set a deep fryer up outside temporarily.

For suggested use, HF might have what will work cheapest, $30 stand, $20 for the workmate clone.

The keter looks good, but I use a Husky and I like it. I like that the Keter has the shelf underneath though. On the Husky you can attache a router... haven't tried it yet.

Im often doing large layout stuff, really like the 4x8 platform (other sizes available). Supports 6000lbs? Comes with sheet holding, stud, and other accessories, and importantly, folds up and is ~30lbs

Saw horses and some plywood 3'x6' or what ever I have laying around. Stores away nice and neat, and I already had everything laying around.
