Had a little time today and some extra stuff laying around and this is what happened. Took 2 pieces of an old truck frame. Welded a piece of unistrut on it. Took a piece of aluminum plate and mounted a harbor freight solar security light on it with a piece of 1 inch pvc conduit.

And this would be for.....drawing the bugs in at night? :dunno:

Entomology 101 is about four Forums down

Just kidding. Pretty cool. Now that they are solar, you DO know that you need to post a night pic.

I'm curious to see how bright, and how long they last at night. I know that being solar they will dim as the time ticks away, but curious as to how long they would remain bright enough to do some work without electric.

Nice, that reminds that I want to get one of those for the inside of my shed. I'll put the solar panel on the outside of course, when I open the door to the shed at night the light will come on without me fumbling around for a switch or maintaining batteries for the light.
