Need help understanding the PFG: FIGURE 602.10.6.3 in the 2015 IRC. The diagram shows strapping on each side of door "TO BE INSTALLED ON OPPOSITE SIDE OF SHEATHING" is that under sheathing? or on the interior side? Regardless of side I'm assuming that it is okay to drill or nail additional nails through strap to hold sheathing or drywall (if on other side) any help would be greatly appreciated.
