Portasol 012680040 820 Watt Gas Torch

$35.59

Portasol 011880070 220 Watt Gas Torch

$30.54

Not huge blow-out deals, but Camel says it's the lowest Amazon Prime prices ever.

I opened up your second link to the 220W version, and the price was $35.80. I closed the window, opened up this reply window, then forgot what the cents were...so I opened the link again and it was back to $30.54 :dunno:

If I didn't already have one, I'd get the 820

No more, the price went back up to $39 but there is an option for the $33 on back order if you click the used/new link to the right.

For those using this, I believe it is impervious that you use tripe or quadruple filtered butane. I've owned a Weller branded Portasol for about 10 years. The only issues I've ever had with not lighting were remedied by using "Premium" butane.
For those on the wire about buying one, Id suggest getting one to just to have. I use mine all the time when I dont have a lighter around. Where it really shines for me is when I'm working on vehicle electrical. Nothing like it when working under a dash on a cold day. I use a folded up canvas tarp to catch the solder drips and keep the torch from burning the carpets / floor mats.

The heat gun tip gets hot enough to melt solder so I rarely use that tip on it. And it makes it easy when using heat shrink on a splice.
