I've been using a porter cable 314 trim saw and the other day
the thing stalled while cutting and I made the mistake of releasing the
the trigger instead of keeping trigger pulled and removing saw from cut.Now
it sometimes will not turn on when pulling the trigger.I've discovered you can
move the blade just a tad and it:confused: will start up.Other than that,it seems to still run OK.Anybody have thoughts on the problem. Thanks

sounds like you fried one of the field windings- the one that was energized when you jammed the blade. Open it up and examine the brushes and the armature- look for a broken wire or anything discolored as in burnt. No easy way to fix this kind of problem, though. Too bad, thats a great saw.
