I am currently building out my tool collection, and have some HD gift cards from christmas. An air compressor seems like the next logical step. I get the impression it is one of those tools that you can't live without once you get it.

Any thoughts on this? It seems to get decent reviews, and will likely cover DIY and basic wood working tasks.
