that's a good 7.5 amp model. if somone needs the power of a 10 amp, the dewalt is marked down to $79 (from $99). i've found my cordless 18v dewalt one very handy for trimming tree branches.

Can anyone confirm just how good Thr Porter Cable is? I've been looking for a good small-mid sized reciprocating saw.

It is a good light duty saw, easy to hold for long periods. I had one for awhile until I needed to ugrade to a larger model. I never had any problems with mine, I just outgrew its capacity. For a DIYer it would be a great handy little recip saw to have.

Nay it is not that good. I did buy it. motor got hot and then I fried it on first day of slicing through fence with it. I returned it back. I gave a try to use 8.5 amp P.C... Much better
