I’ve had a deep cut Milwaukee for years and it pretty much has resided in the metal box. Metal box tells how old it is Anyway, It is hardly ever used. Some time back in the Fab section there was pic posted by Jack O which I found interesting and pm’d him. I ordered the adapter plate, mounted the PB in it and I use it all the time now. Pretty slick set-up. Swagoffroad

Same here. I use it all the time. Beats cutting steel with a grinder like I used to.

I just bought the Harbor Freight Bauer deep cut and getting ready to buy the SWAG 3.0 table. I needed a band saw but did not have the room or $ for the real thing. This will do 99% of the stuff I need to do and sets on a bench. Bonus is it comes off for hand use with 2 thumb screws. Much better, faster, less mess, and easier on the hands than my sawsall or grinder. Should have done it a year ago before I did a zillion black pipe cuts for my air system.

I love my HF cheapaband. It is cleaner and quicker than OA, plasma, or the chopsaw.

I'll also add that a small baking sheet works great with the Swag table to catch most of the metal shavings. I stole one from the kitchen and have a lot less mess to clean up than before.

That’s a function of the user, blade tension, blade tracking and saw blade guide blocks.........all band saws cut witha drift, you must concentrate and control the drift to cut straight.

Resaw a tall piece of wood on band saw .......will teach you all about managing blade drift.

i can force it to cut straight but its just too much trouble sometimes. i am rebuilding a large powermatic and putting a vfd on it because the guides on the swag cant let the thin blade stay straight with any kind of pressure.

Are the new updated HF bandsaws better then the old ones? I recall the older ones had some defect that made the blade essentially eat/wear away at the the guides or something. I read it on here a while back
