About 6 months ago I bought a MPV5 Bessey vise at Lowes. Put it on the shelf in the box it came in without opening it. About 3-4 weeks ago I opened the box only to find the base ring had one of the hold down tabs broken off. Should have thought this when I bought it cause the box was pretty beaten up when I bought it
Couldn't find the Lowes receipt so I emailed Bessey looking to purchase a replacement ring figuring Lowes wouldn't do anyting without the receipt and I have forgotten which Lowes I bought it from.
To my total suprise Bessey responded by sending me a free replacement ring.
I bought the vise because the display unit was well constructed and fairly tight had a good price and the Bessey name. I bought another because of the customer service per above.
Bessey makes great clamps and clamping products and I will purchasing some in Spring 2012 and look forward to owning a product the manufacturer stands behind.
