Possible air pressure issue?

Hi guys, I’m rebuilding a Reddy Heater 50,000btu for my brother. I’ve replaced the nozzle, spark plug, rotor and end cap. It seems to run fine, I gave it a 45min test with no issues, but I noticed that the air pressure is a bit low (around 2.8 psi) when the specs suggest 3.4psi for this model. Also the nose cone doesn’t glow bright red like I’ve seen others do. I’m wondering if it isn’t running as efficient as possible, or if I should just call it good? The psi adjuster has little to no effect to the psi, despite being brand new. Your thoughts? Thanks!

had a similar issue with a master torpedo unit 135k.... air pressure not at spec but close....rebuilt the rotor..found it damaged...air pressure still low..worked fine so i called it a faulty gauge.
dunno about end cone ...maybe to lean...cut air back if possible..cad cell reading will help if you can get it.
