Considering purchasing a garage for use as a woodshop, metal shop, car storage, gym, and office. Location Southwest Tennessee. Looking at two very different buildings both have heat and a/c. Building 1 approx 2000sf concrete block some insulation. Building 2 approx 4000 sf steel building looks light on insulation and only used on weekends by previous owners. I am gone for long periods of time during the summer and fall. My concern is how to control humidity in both buildings without breaking the bank. My initial thought was to set air at 80 -82 degrees but not sure if this will reduce humidity to prevent rust and mold issues. Would be nice to have the additional sf and minimal difference in price. Three heat ac units in building 2 with 1 in building 1. Possible to not run one unit in building 2 (1600sf) and move cars into wood shop. Your thoughts are appreciated.
