My local Napa is transitioning from their Napa brand to Irwin tools. To get rid of their stock of Napa tools they are having a 70 percent off sale and will be offering their tool boards.

I don't know much about their house brands tools but checked out some wrenches. Nice polished set from .25 to 1.25 was 150 dollars. 12 point.
Felt nice and heavy/ solid. USA made tools.
Picked up snips for 20 bucks total. Flush cut and standard.

Might be worth calling your local store to ask if they are doing the same. My Napa is inGlendale AZ at 59th/ Myrtle if you are in this area.

Most of them blew their old stock out earlier this year. If yours has the German made screwdrivers left, grab them.

Are you referring to the NAPA brand, or the Carlyle house brand? My store has had Carlyle for a while, never had any Irwin.

NAPA hand tools were made by SK. Those are the 'real' tools offered. They also had the second line / consumer line called "Silverline". Those are the dollar store level cheapies and best avoided.

I like NAPA for many things, but having worked there 5 years, I know what to avoid and what to keep. :)

In Nashville a Napa was clearing out the NAPA USA tools at 70% off. I was geeked to pick up a lg pair of wire cutters for $7. They were cleaned out of most of the good tools, just a bunch of wrenches, odd sockets....
