Possible old snap on 1/2" extension?

Came across this awhile back, maybe you guys can help me identify it. It looks like some jackass hit the back with a hammer so it's not functional anymore since it will only go about halfway on a ratchet but I thought it was cool none the less. I can very faintly read the word "Snap" in the base. If it is a snap on is it repairable? warranty-able? Or would anybody here have any interested in it?

I am going to guess that it is put together and the only Snap On part is the one with their name on it, but who knows

Cool, it's nice to hold something in your hands that's that old, but due to this thread it's soon to be in someone else's hands who can fix it up and appreciate it more than I. If it was a functioning tool I probably would have kept it and put it to use as I needed one this length but it's all good. Plus my buddy just gave me an old pair of bonney's DOE wrenches he picked up at an estate sale that are in beautiful shape.
