Possible Positive Proto Pronouncement?

Hi folks,

I picked up this red box with about 40 sockets inside and the haul included just enough Proto Professional sockets to fill the slots fully. The box does not appear to have any markings though. Do you think the label came off or is it just a random perfect fit?

I think it is a random box. Sorry, but Proto had a metal tag on boxes during the Professional era, at least on every one I have seen. I have an older version of that box (flying lady era) and the socket holder layout is different, not to mention the way the lid is constructed. Without more to go on, I would say no.

But if it works, awesome!
