Possible Toolbox purchase.....opinions needed

Found this 3 piece today on local craigslist and need some opinions.

Worth the bucks he is asking? Any idea what the make is? I sent the guy some questions early this morning but probably wont hear back until tonight. There is a member on here from that area.......might even be the same guy.

My guess is that waterloo made the combination. Not a bad price. Not a great price. Another guess would place it in the 1980's.

Wow. That's...suspicious. Luckily, that particular HF box is so terrible that one touch of a drawer will scare him away from buying it. It's the opposite of the red HF boxes. Just super thin junk.

Its not a real bad price if it would fit your needs but as others have said its high for what your are getting.

if the HF **** one is $200 and this one is a bit sturdier, low ball him and see. can't hurt

I'm on the lookout for a setup like that myself, but I want all full extension ball bearing drawer slides; most inexpensive boxes use only 3/4 extension, makes getting at gear in the rear a pain in the rear.

99% sure that is the el cheap HF combo which can be bought new for about $150. I doubt it is a kennedy because the top box would be a drop front and bottom possibly too. If not the hf box, I would think it would still be a crappy, cheap box. Not worth $25 let alone $250. The seller is on crack.

That is EXACTLY what it is. To the sellers credit, he did own up to it right away.

If that is the HF box, it's not worth the money whatsoever. I'd rather have $250 worth of chip brushes from HF than that box.
