Thinkin of adding a TL72 to the herd, I have the THL72 and use the **** outta of it, but I like the TL72 it can get into tighter places without the cushion handle.

Am I alone in wanting a ratchet I can change directions of with one hand ? A toggle lever instead of something that requires me to use two hands ?

Since I've upgraded a few ratchets recently, I'll post then again.

They are a collection of Armstrong, Craftsman, GearWrench, Kolbalt, Matco, and Snap On. They are 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" square drive and 1/4" and 3/8" pass through.

These are the extra ones now that I'll be giving my son. The are all Craftsman except fot the fine tooth 3/8" Black Hawk and 1/4" Duralast. The are 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" square drive.

Mcfrarmer said "Am I alone in wanting a ratchet that I can change direction with one hand..?" No, I'm a fan of one handed reversing also. I got spoiled when I was given a Thorsen 1/2 drive set. Direction is changed on the Thorsen with a flip of the thumb, and it never requires fumbling or extra force. The old style Craftsman is almost as good. The 36 tooth Snap On ratchets require a little force and fumbling, but the SOs never auto reverse, well maybe if the internals are worn out, but IME not even then. The types requiring 2 hands have a lot of good qualities, like fine teeth, but are awkward to reverse.

Wow this is awesome. Everyone at work made fun of me for having too many ratchets. I took some home for my home box and I sold off a few miscellaneous ones but I'll get a pic of the ones at work and the ones from home..

Here's my most used ones. I have 3 or 4 in the tool box in my Camaro, and a few more in various tool boxes around the garage. Not real impressive but its a growing collection

Over the past year, buying ratchets has become very addicting. Time to start looking for more 1/2 inch drives...

About 2/3's of my ratchets:

I keep CMan V's (2 1/4, 2 3/8) in the car at all times... few others at my the garage I rent with my buddy, and a few others floating around the house.

Digging up an old - but good - thread. USA on right, imports on left. Gotos are the CMAN thin profile, Proto 4749, and now the new Bahco (black/orange comfort handles). The HF rotos are pretty nice - they are the older chrome moly kind.

Yeah I'm addicted to ratchets. I keep a drawer in my fastener cabinet dedicated to ratchet parts and I still have a small tool box with broken/beat up ratchets. I have about 50 in all.

I'm addicted to a specific ratchet (see avatar), since they don't make repair kits anymore, I need to start collecting some "burner" ratchets, just in case.

Here's most of mine at home, I probably have another dozen scattered around the house and in the vehicles, and then maybe another 8-10 at work.

Wow....I'm not sure why anyone would need so many of the same size (or similar size) ratchets. I know, I know...it's not about needing them.... but still, I have about 6 or 7 different 3/8 ratchets, with 3 of them being the same size and even that's overkill because I hardly ever use them all.
