Anyone have any references or leads for an engineer who could do the design work for a rural residential post frame garage in Florida? Engineer does not need to be in Florida, but familiarity with Florida hurricane codes would be best.

We are in North Florida only in a 110mph wind zone.

I’ve done a lot of googling but having trouble finding an independent engineer who could do this kind of work.

Look up Andrew on The Kelley's Country Life on youtube. He's in North FL and doing exactly what you want to do. I bet he'd share who he's working with.

Here is his channel

Hey John. I was talking to a guy the other night. He’s building a 40x60 post frame barndominium in Jefferson Co. Would you like me to get the engineers info?
Yes sir that would be much appreciated!

Funnily I have a half dozen civil engineers in the family… only do stormwater and sewers! Told me to google for structural folks.

The plans in your jurisdiction are on-file, and available for public viewing. Go look at a few and copy-down the P.E. or firm of-record. In my jurisdiction, you go to the county library in the city. They have the municipality's plans/permits issued recently in an open shelf storage area. Other places, you may go to the Building Dept.
