hey everyone. I really want old school red brick walls in my garage. I have seen faux panels and real and I want to see what some of you have done with both in your garage so POST SOME PICS! :)

I have no digital pictures 'cause I sold the house in 1995 but I had one in a 1908 house. We sealed the bricks with clear masonry sealer which prevented dust and brought out richer tones in the brick. It was a semi gloss or satin sealer.

Here's mine. I hate it.

They're engineer king sized bricks and aren't true clay bricks but rather cement dyed to look like bricks. Longer than your standard Econo clay brick.

The plan is to completely knock down the garage and rebuild with clay Econo bricks to match the house. These don't and it gets on my last damned nerve!

Hate the paint too. It'll be sealed clear upon rebuild.

Okay, pics not working. Don't know what the deal is, but this is the only forum where I absolutely, positively cannot get a pic to take. Even my avatar. Says it's there when I go to my profile yet it never shows.

Frustrating as hell! And again, three other forums I go to no problems.

Heres mine, totally built from red brick. Inside its largely whitewashed but thats patchy and flaking off. I've not decided yet if I'm going to just clean them off and leave them bare or re-whitewash them. Probably the latter as it may be a bit dark in there otherwise.

LippyP I love the brick floor. Do you have any shots of that?

OP - My brick wall is covered with shelves at the moment but its originally the exterior garage wall, and a second garage was added off that wall. So it became a cool interior wall

Only problem is the concrete floor slopes a little, and when I line my toolboxes up along the wall, the mortar lines aren't parallel with the boxes. Drove me nuts so I put up shelves!!
