Post to beam

Need to put a 4 ply 2x12 beam on top of a 6x6 post. So beam actual size would be 6''. Post would be 5.5". What bracket would everyone recommend?

Edited because I can’t read. Can you source a true 6x6 locally? Otherwise 1/4 plate on both sides of the post would be a decent solution.

If you don’t already have the 2x12, look at an LVL sized to do your job. It’ll be smaller but cost more. Otherwise as mentioned above, Simpson may make brackets that work. Or have some welded up.
