I'm in the market for a nicer tool chest and top box. 44" to 56" or so.
I'm not brand loyal.
Snap On is not in the budget. They hold their value very well in my area.
HF is the cheapest $/cubic inch, but they lack features. They also don't have a 56" top box with open-top storage like the others.
Question: anybody know if the Husky 52" at HD ever goes on sale? It would fit my needs very well.

I bought a 52” Husky last year on sale. It was just under $400 Canadian, so $100 off. It’s not the greatest, and I wouldn’t buy it again. I’ve seen the Harbor Freight ones and they seem much, much sturdier. I would have bought that if they were in Canada.

I like the LED lights and outlets some of the boxes have. I'd like to put my cordless tools and charger in the top compartment.

I'd like them to match for once. I've been mismatched for decades.

It was just under $400 Canadian
Wow, that's cheap! Same item? It's listed for $898 on the HD website. I have noticed the price has gone up in the last couple of years. What don't you like about it?

I just bought a few Husky tool cabinets off some guy on Facebook Marketplace for about 70% of retail price. They were returned units with a little bit of damage (most of them had broken wheels or dents/scratches), but still totally usable. I ended up getting these 72" Husky boxes, and they're incredible value for the price. A lot of shallow drawers, which is what I wanted. I was iffy on the soft close drawer slides at first, but after filling in some of the drawers, I really like the soft close slides they use.

Home Depot is about to put some Husky toolboxes on sale for Black Friday, including the 52" matte black top bottom combo for $800.

Ah, no sorry. I got the 52" workbench with the butcher block top. The one you are looking at is closer to $1,000 CDN here. My mistake!
