^ I'm just trying to envision the scenario where that would be an advantage and it's just not appearing for me.
Looks like the version that needs a chiropractor!
Those are like the Klein speeder screwdrivers, I've got one around here somewhere. On center, they work like a regular screwdriver. You get them just a little off center, whip your wrist around, and away you go. Seems really silly, until you try one.^ I'm just trying to envision the scenario where that would be an advantage and it's just not appearing for me.

Thanks! The 8pt sockets explain why there is extra room in the socket area.@Old Radar -
list of full set (your 77MC (closed head) replaces the old 77M (open gear) type ratchet
Don that's one heck of a nice grab! You know I'm a big fan. Major suckage for an uncommon find! A pearl after shucking countless Thorsen oysters is what I'd call it.

Complete set, all the trimmings, open gear ratchet, great condition original box with documents?
I just happened to have that 1963 listing available. They certainly didn’t change every year. Here is a catalog listing from 1960 that is the same. Thanks Don. Hmmm, 1963. Not quite as old as I thought. I'm glad it's complete. Didn't think there was a t handle, but wasn't sure on cross bar.

I couldn’t find a catalog that showed the set so I might have gone overboard, but why not?^ I think I have similar boxes out in the living room .... more on the "blue" side (like the first image.)I looked at it for a while and based on the color and marks on the cardboard, I figured it must have held a Thorsen set.
yes.1/4" drive?
