I'll come back and edit this post to include the available models, part numbers etc along with the years made. I'll need help from you guys with the old catalogs for some of the info. I have a few grinders on stands, a band saw, table saw and a couple others I will post later.

For now, here is my belt/disc sander and you can see my band saw in the background. You guys post up your pedestal tools and part numbers if you have them!

I have the 4 1/8" jointer on a pedestal. The paperwork shows an optional belt guard that I have never seen. Safety hadn't been invented yet. Can you see them selling a tool with an exposed belt like that today. There is a fan belt guard with louvers or expanded mesh that they sell for VW dune buggies, that are only 20 bucks. I was thinking of orderig one to try and adapt. The jointer has a hole in the casting with a set screw that looks like it was to hold the belt guard. I wouldn't mind another pedestal for my buffer. They are big, heavy and stable.. Better than most of the flimsey stuff sold today.

I do 6PT, it's a 2x42 Baldor belt sander and I also have a Baldor buffer on a pedestal stand but I'd like to keep this thread dedicated to the vintage Craftsman pedestal tools so please disregard the elephant in the room.
