Just look around. 250+ pages in the gallery, 30+ threads per page. Your bound to get a couple ideas.

YEp, just go to any thread in the Gallery. BTW...Welcome to Garage Journal. Get a note pad and start taking notes from what you find on here. There is everything from your basic 8x10 shed, to ones with 20+ cars, A garage that houses the Batmobile, Ice rinks.....You name it, it's probably on here somewhere.

Here is my plan. Approximately 48 X 38. Dimensions on drawing are in inches!

Workshop is constructed but is now filled with boxes from recent "evacuation" of house for sale. So, this is future expectation. . . .

I found this helpful. It's for a farm shop -- maybe Purdue University -- but it might give some ideas.

I see a couple of issues I'd want to change. I would not want a blast cabinet in the middle of things and certainly not next to my desk and not anywhere near a model RR.. I think I'd try to put my lumber up on a wall and the man door swinging towards the bench could produce some surprises.

Hey Zeke, good thoughts. Although my blast cabinet has been pretty tight (little loose media blowing around), swapping it out with the metal workbench might be a good idea. I'm afraid I'm stuck with the door (the workshop is built, just not being used as intended, to date). And my left over wood from workshop construction just about fills the 9X12' bay; not much opportunity for consolidation on the wall, which has windows on that side anyway.

I thought the farm shop and my plans might give JoeMayo some ideas. Thanks for comments.
