I'm thinking about having a baby so I can buy baby food jars and Similac bottles.

Your outta your damn mind. :scared:

You'd get off cheaper buying a new snap on box every year for the next 18 years then having a kid. Plus snap on boxes dont **** themselves every other hour.

Word!

(Yeah, we know you were kidding...even so, it'd STILL be cheaper to buy a new Snap-on box for 18 years)

The square nuts are sometimes helpful as a semi-captive nut when they are installed so they cannot turn when the bolt/screw is tightened.

I also have a few square sockets (8-point).

I use them when i have to weld a nut inside a pipe or behind some flat stock

This is about an every day deal here.

I think I just found my Thanksgiving weekend project. I've got a nice stainless steel grill that I grew tired of rebuilding...it'll make a fantastic roll around tool cart.

Re: Bedframe Re-purpose

As requested here are some additional pictures of the cheapo barstool I built about 7 years ago.
Few people knew what a motorized barstool was 7 years ago, so I was pretty much on my own with parts and design. It turned out fairly nice considering the source of parts and lack of funds dedicated to the build. I spent around 100 bucks out of pocket.
Cheapo source of parts:
Frame: 1 1/2" steel angle (old bed frame),
Motor: 3.5hp Briggs from a 1963 Toro Powerhandle setup (given to me by my uncle)
Tires and wheels: from Harbor Freight 5 bucks each.
Throttle and brake pedals literally whittled from an aluminum angle (4 hours each to cut them out and finish)
Steering wheel 10 bucks on EBAY
Steering bearings are commercial door pivots.
Steering column chrome cover........made from a shower head!..
Seat wood and foam covered with Walmart leopard print fabric.
Brakes: wood block rubbing on tire. (actually works great!)
I did have to buy a 1" axle, a mini bike clutch, hubs, sprocket
and front spindles.
SPECS: 24" wheelbase 24" track weight about 55 lbs. speed 25 mph.

Thanks for your info and additional links. Not sure how much jail time is involved for riding the sidewalks like is shown. Have access to F'glass go-kart bodies and was thinking of doing something........but where to ride, I live in a "civilized" area a lot like those shown on U tube.

See you have Ackerman steering and it appears not to matter that those machines sport a solid rear axle...that was a concern.

Thanks again, more info to work with.

As I recall I took about 15 minutes to do that, not sure it I actually made any cuts to the materials, stuff I gathered up, might have cut the piece of rain gutter for length. Couple of the trays are washing machine or dryer lids.

Ok I know that I must not be the only person in the world that is saving these things but I have not found a good use for them yet. Every time you get a perscription at Target they put one of these rubber (?) rings on the bottle. The theory is that each family member will have a different color so you don't get your medicine mixed up with someone else's. I think its a dumb idea and a waste of money but i digress. Has anyone else that has been saving these things found a use for them yet?

Not really re-purposed, more like re-located. They are built for tool storage in Vans, but they work great in the garage. Very sturdy and come in all different configurations. They are very expensive to buy new, but come up used and cheap on occassion. Mine came out of a van we were trading in. Dealer said they didn't add to the value, so I detoured to my place and pulled them out.
