Hey now, you've been here almost a year now...you should know better!:lol_hitti

Thanks. Posted several months ago, but have not been on this site since. Had computer crash, lost my passwords to all forums, and got disgusted. Just now coming back to Garage Journal. I am SO glad to be able to share stuff. I have lots of unidentified old tools, some really weird (but identified old tools), and literally thousands of auto parts catalogs. But what do you do with all this stuff. I CAN'T let it go...but it just sits there....

Okay, I'm trying to learn how to do this. I have a page with two Billings & Spencer wrench display boards. I hope the photos are large enough to show up well on Garage Journal site. And I hope I am using the Photobucket link properly. I'm very new at posting online photos this way.

Nope, the pix were too small. Sorry guys. I'll find a better way to do this, or limit myself to larger photos.

Okay, let me try again. Here is page 401, with a pic of a Walden-Worcester wrench Display Board for specialized wrenches for Model T Fords. I picked a page with larger photo, and tried to save it in a larger size on Photobucket. I sure hope this one works!

Okay, the Walden-Worcester photo worked alright...but it was a larger photo to start with. This time I took that little photo of the two Billings & Spencer Display Boards, and blew them up a little on Photoshop before saving them to Photobucket. Thanks for your patience with me, while I try to learn how to do this better. Here we go...

Wow, sorry. That one is TOO large...and the photos are still not good enough for you to enjoy. I guess I should just skip over smaller photos of display boards? Are you guys enjoying these photos at all...or am I just wasting your time?

Love this thread. I don't own any commercial boards, but this thread is inspirational. I may have to make my own.

I also have a 1920 hardbound Beckley-Ralston catalog of tools and auto parts n accessories. These are wholesale catalogs, so they often show displays, kits, and sales aids (like price tags, receipt books, work orders, etc) for auto parts stores and/or garages. Here is a page with two screwdriver displays. Hope you enjoy...

RATS! Still too large, isn't it? Sorry guys. What pixel size do you recommend for me to use to get it more correct?

From the same 1920 hardbound Beckley-Ralston wholesale catalog of tools and automotive stuff, comes this photo of a Williams "Silent Salesman Style A" Wrench Display Board. Sadly there is no description of the materials used on the board itself.

Here is a second display of Williams wrenches, from the facing page of that 1920 Beckley-Ralston catalog. Let me know if I should keep this up, or if you would prefer to focus more on current photos of displays which people actually have in possession today.

Wow there are some amazing display boards out there. I have two in storage. One Easco 3/4" drive socket/ratchet board. And one other I think Proto but dont remember for sure. Grand total cost between them $1.00. I will get pics later since they are packed away in the barn for the winter.

That thing would hang right in my living room if I could find it. That WW board Lump posted would find a home in there as well.

No need to focus only on boards people have...I'm loving the ones from the old catalogs. That's gold...keep 'em coming. Besides, where else can you share them? :lol_hitti

Anyone like Crescent brand wrenches? Here is a photo of a display from a 1926 Pittsburg Auto Equipment wholesale catalog.

Last one for today. Another display from 1926 Pittsburg Auto Equipment catalog. This one is Walden-Worcester, but different from others I have seen.

Nope, not me...too much!

The boards I have bought have all been cheaper than that, and I intend to keep it that way!

Those went for so much because they are Proto LA...a fierce niche in the market.

Anybody here win this pair of Proto boards?

It was tempting but I didn't bid on them.

Those boards will soon be joining the other two in my garage:thumbup:
I paid more than I wanted, but it was just one of those things that I just had to have. Filling the last two has been really fun. For me it gives tool collecting a purpose, searching out and finding specific tools to complete the boards. I can't wait to start on these 2 boards. So I guess I'll be in the market for some Proto wrenches.

Wow, I had no idea people collected old proto stuff. I guess I should start digging through all my old tool boxes.

Yessir, you got a good deal on that. Not sure what the shipping was for you, but for me it was $18. Still would have been an ok deal. I was watching that auction and until the last hour intended to bid, but then decided I'd rather focus on the boards than the racks.

That one is great looking, though. There is another one on eBay now but it is not in as nice condition and it's way more money.

Shipping to me was $15.30, so that brought the total to $18.55. I can't believe both of you were out there watching it and both decided not to bid. lol I got lucky.

I just picked up these 7 Blackhawk boards this weekend at an estate sale. I don't have any real interest in Blackhawk, but the price was right, and the fact that there were so many of them together, made me buy them. They will probably end up here or Ebay for sale.

Send me a PM when you figure out what you'll be asking for them.

My interest in tool boards is not brand specific.

So I thought that I would post my new tool board, along with some of the tools that I have to fill it up.

Not all are Husky right now, the 1/2 speeder is Mustang, the 1/4 and 3/8 breakers are Penncraft. I now need to get some Husky 1/2 deep and 1/4 deep sockets and more 1/4 tools. I also need two more adapters.

Man, that board looks fabulous! As it happens, I just now finished counting just the sockets from that big haul I had last weekend. There were 608 USA-made sockets over the two days. More importantly to you, I suppose, is that there were 61 Husky brand sockets. Hopefully we can find some of the units you are missing from that board!

I could use some 1/4 sockets and some 1/2 six point sockets.
