Pot Light Wiring Question

Looking at the lighting below online. It's for a ceiling where there is minimal clearance above the light and these need only a little over 2" above. Being LED is a bonus because of the low heat dissipation.

So my question is what is the AC wiring going to look like ? I assume the two wires go into a box but what kind of wire restraint would i use ?

Wire Nuts, I personally prefer Ideal Wing Nuts.

I just outfitted my whole garage with similar LED inserts and they all had a 4-pin pushlock block so I didn't even need wire nuts. Those might come with them as well.

I don't see how those would pass code without the connections and the driver being in a box.

Cheap offshore product, did not see anything if it has a CSA, or c UL, listing, doubtful it would just by looking at the photo, I am of the opinion that one should never buy off breed cans/ trims, only use name brand if just to have future parts availability.

Ditto... I wasn't seeing a UL listing.

Height is the issue - only about 6'4" (it's a hallway in the basement). I need something as flush as possible and with minimum depth requirement as there is wiring above.

LED will help a lot with the heat.

Looked at a few earlier on the Home Depot site - not cheap. Candles may be an option.

What about wall sconce type light fixtures that mount to the walls? They could be aimed up or down and throw some good light in a hallway.

If you can't get find 3" or so up there then this is your best option.

zero clearance. Find a place to mount the little driver and then remote mount the disk wherever you want.
This thing is BRIGHT for it's size. It's 1100 lumens @ 11 watts.

You guys are great ! looked online at HD and found a bunch of sconces that will do the job and not stick out very far. This is a hallway that feels like you're walking to a dungeon. At the end is MY bathroom and the furnace room.

When i find the exact ones i'll post a pic or two.
