I'm wondering if anyone know of a inexpensive pot for 2x6 joists. I'm like the new construction type in 4", I used the Halo 4" that were sealed for insulation in my basement, but they are too tall for the joists in the garage. I'm looking at installing 20 of them...

Any links or suggestions let me know!

I use these Halo brand disk lights that look like a can light ( or pot light for our northern friends! ) but actually mount to a 4" Jbox. They aren't cheap but when you figure cost of can , plus the retrofit Led, they aren't too much more. You maybe able to find cheaper ones out there. This works for when I was retro fitting in a family room and didn't have room for a full size can b/c of duct work.

Not sure if you are finishing with drywall and they aren't cheap but it will give you an idea of what's out there
