While not a garage it is building so I thought it fit better here then the free parking.

I am finishing my basement remodel and am stuck and embarrasseed to say it.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how the arms on my pot lights attach to the T bars. The instructions are no help at all as you can see

So here are a few shots of the end of the arms. I get the feeling like I have to bend or move a piece but those intructions are no help at all.

Anyone know what I am suppose to do here?

Ok so judging by the number of views and no response I'm not the only one that doesn't get this.

I feel a little better about that but still don't know how to hang them:dunno:

Try bending the tab with the hole in it, outward 90 degrees to what it is now. That should do it.

I will try that when I get home.

Why can't they just say that in the instructions? There is nothing in there about needing any modification for it to work. It jsut says "snap over rails", which is does not do

Drop the double tabbs onto a 12' main tee and the lower single tab is bent upwards to lock it in place. You also need supporting wires with this bracket as well. Put the tile in first and work around it from the sides. You will never get it in after the fact.

That's why I'm glad I purchased Halo fixtures. Their clip drops right over the track - no pondering.

The bad news - I'm looking at a lot of dropped ceiling work in my basement. The laundry room sink overflowed and flooded the laundry room, kitchen and a good bit of the basement.

Cheers

Jim
