I most likely have the option of procuring a ThermoZorb Modular (TZM) Heatless Regenerative Dryer and four filters for a nominal cost ($0). I have looked the model numbers up, but there is very little info that I have found that fully explain how this unit operators and how I could potentially tie it into my system.

This is the dryer.

This is one of the filters, they are the same it appears although there are two others that have slightly different model numbers.

Any idea or input on these units? Worth getting (assuming YES). I am assuming it would not be cheap to go and get new ones.

And you have not picked them up yet? You're wasting time asking us? Dude? Really? Your next post had better be "I got them".....to which we will respond..."YOU ****"

Can't get them just yet, hopefully in a month or so.

Thanks for the info sheet link, was looking for exactly that! Looks like I could incorporate this into my setup. Once I do gat it, I'll have to review as to the best way to set it up, where in the line, etc.

I don't know how big your compressor is but you should know a regenerative desiccant dryer uses dry compressed air from one tower to purge through the other tower to regenerate it. This purge rate is about 15% of the dryer capacity. In this case it will consume around 16 SCFM to purge. This purge is constant, as long as the dryer is turned on. That equates to about a 3HP compressor.it will be pretty expensive for a homeowner.

Interesting...
I have a 60 gallon (with additional 20 gallon inline tank) Puma compressor. Single stage, three cylinder.

Perhaps the dryer will work well when painting a car, but not so much when doing other standard tasks such as running blast cabinet or angle grinder.

Regardless, I'll pick it up if I can then check in here to see what I can actually do with it.
