Potential issue with my new quickjack

Little over a week ago I got the bl-7000slx, having issues with the air cylinder. While testing several times I found another potential issue. I’m having an issue with air cylinder only on one unit so I’m standing on the one having issues to lower it. My discovery is if I’m not pressing any buttons the other unit starts to rise. Basically the fluid is pressing back into the power unit then out the line to the other unit causing it to lift.

Is this normal?

Thanks for the feed back on the hydraulic issue or potential issue.

The air cylinder will not hold air. I targeted 45 lbs, performed my test up and down from first lock point, test again later to find one side was not moving or many times slower than the other going down. Once I check pressure of the air cylinder it's typically 15 to 20 lbs. I've re-taped and changed the schrader valve with no luck. Working with support but obviously they are crazy busy because they hard to get on the phone OR even to get emails back.

They are a little slow. I don't think they have more than a few people in that department. My power unit had a broke pickup tube. It took a little while but they made it right.

Hello, I am having the same exact problem, after the initial lifts/3x, I noticed that one frame has a 2 second delay in going down. Goes up and down smoothly, but as mentioned, one frame is delayed. I then checked the psi in the air cylinder of the affected frame, and boom, down to like 25-30 psi. So, I torqued the schrader valve with a tpms valve torque wrench, pumped up the cylinder to 50, and raised it 2 more times, to no avail. Psi goes down to about 25. sprayed with soapy water around the valve, direct to the valve, no leaks found. I am going to try to get in touch with customer service. For the price that we pay for these units, this should not be an issue.

Howdy gang, I have a QJ 5000TL on order (Home Depot Black Friday Special).

Reading through various threads, it seems that one best practice is to always always check to see if the air cylinders are at 50psi before operating the QJ.



The instructions say to check the schrader valve periodically.

Has anyone attached a gauge permanently to the air cylinders?

1) Buy a 1.5" 60psi gauge like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084Z5LWD2/?tag=atomicindus08-20
2) Thread the male end of a brass (or should it be stainless steel?) NPT T-fitting in the air cylinder like such: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083ZBLWZV/?tag=atomicindus08-20
3) Take the shrader valve that was originally installed in the air cylinder and mount it to one end of the T-fitting.
4) Take the gauge procured in step 1 and mount it to the other end of the T-fitting.

Is this a good idea? A bad idea?

I had to change both Schrader valves. I had bleed down issues with 1 cyl, and then had problems trying to fill them. New valves assist to have helped. But haven’t checked them in a month
