Hi Guys , I was using my Poulan Pro leaf blower Model BVM200 and it suddenly stopped for no apparent reason. Put in fresh gas, changed spark plug and still won't start. I am wondering, seeing as it sounds as if it isn't firing, is it possible that the wiring to the spark plug is broken? How can I test it?

May not be getting any fuel? Anyhow, you might could do it like this. You probably need three hands. Watch the whole video.

Check the 'turn off' switch first. I've had those things fail and make the same symptoms.

Check the spark with a spark tester or a spark plug--go into a dark area and see if the test spark plug shows a spark at the gap.

Spark, fuel, air, compression. it needs these things at the right time to run. Check in that order. Spark plug first, then if the plug is good and not fouled but still no spark bypass the kill switch. Still no spark check the magneto. If spark is good and since it just suddenly stopped make sure you have fuel in the tank then to the carb and the return overflow back to the tank. If it has a primer bulb use it to check flow. Bypass the air filter for now and check compression. 50 psi will start the motor ( does it feel the same when you pull the start rope?). Check the muffler for carbon fouling which can cause backpressure. If you dont have compression you could have blown a head gasket or case seal. Then evaluate the repair cost vs. a new unit.

I have a Poulan weed wacker, same 2cycle opr'n and twice I've had this problem. Check to see if your plug is wet, getting gas thru the carb.
I see you're in Canada so I don't know what you have in your petro, but here in EPA hell Cailf the gas eats the tiny plastic fuel lines from the inside causing them to swell, effectively closing them off, and eventually breaking. I've had to replace mine twice. Same has happened to a Craftsman leaf blower gas lines.
