10:00 am. We're curious Dave.

On a side note after 8 weeks of waiting, my concrete is suppose to start today.

So what exactly happened? If they were still on power trowels after 7PM it's hard to believe it got away from them........

I hope you can come to a resolution with them, as it's far more costly to tear this out than just the concrete. Good Luck.....

I've been afraid to ask about the outcome! My concrete guy finally got started Friday. Was it bad cement or weather related?

They said it was too dark to see what they were doing. They thought it was good until they came by Friday. Wife took some pictures in the daylight for me. Will post.

I ran extension cords and floodlights is all they had. They are going to try grinding it. I gave them 6,000. They won't get the 4,500 until I'm happy. If they have to tear it out they will. Already let them know I'm not one to cross

I'm no cement expert, but it seems like they can etch the floor and pour another thin layer down. But ultimately it will be your call on whether to accept the fix
Good luck, I don't envy you at all.

WoW! You would have to be blind as a bat to not see that while you were doing it. I have only ran a Power Trowel a few times but my outcome was waaaaay better than that.

Ughh...Sorry man. They should make it right for sure. Seems like a lot of grinding and polishing to get that out.

Hope that grinding will do the trick. Either way, I think you should get some sort of "haircut" on the price. Surely they should have known how long everything was going to take. They could just as easily had a generator and some lights of their own!

Let us know how it turns out.

I know pictures don't do it justice, but as a concrete guy, I don't think it looks that terrible. You're always going to see "swirl marks" from finish machines when it's green. There are a few areas that appear to be a bit rough against the wall, and it looks burnished on some of the overlaps, but most slabs that are taken to that level are.

What is/was the final plan for the floor? From what I can tell, every Menards floor is slightly ground, and definately treated as well.........

I can live with the swirls. The white splotches and lumps that can't be seen in those pics ate ridiculous. I didn't pay for combine storage floor. Deal was showroom finish. This is my place of business
