Powder Actuated Tool

I am preparing to frame in some interior walls in my garage/barn. Any suggestions on how to attach the bottom plate to the 4" concrete floor?

After helping a buddy finish out his basement this weekend, I am leaning against using Tapcon screws because it took forever and ate drill bits.

I've never used a powder actuated tool, but it sure does look quicker and easier on your back.
The cheap/basic models are around $25. Do these work and fasten well?

I have used one of these to fasten 2x's and such to concrete block walls. Super quick and easy.

A SDS rotary hammer with the proper drill bit will make quick work of making holes for Tapcons. Hammer drills are not the best choice for large numbers of holes in concrete.

I personally do not care for powder actuated tools, but they can save time if they are used right. I think the low end of the price scale are single shot tools instead of strip loads.

Whatever type of fastener you go with, I would also use a bead of a good grade of construction adhesive.
