I'm new to GJ and I'm learning so much about rare/unique tools. I never realized snapon hard handle Tools in certain colors were so sought after. I started collecting red hard handle stuff and I've been very lucky finding NOS on my SO dealers truck. Well last week I was digging around in the back of the truck and I found 3 powder blue hard handle screwdrivers. One I think is a #2 reg length then there was two sddd42's next to each other. My dealer showed me how the shank flips around and said how it was kinda cool. I just blew it off because they weren't red handles. Well after looking around it seems like these screwdrivers are very well liked. So tomorrow is the day my dealer shows up at work. Is there even a question on buying the sddd42's? How about the regular Phillips screwdriver?

Here they are, the only 3 powder blue items on my dealers truck.

I'll post pics tomorrow if I still have the chance to buy them. He sold me a few of the other hard handle items at 10% off because they have been on the truck for so long, we'll see if I can get a deal on these too.

I'll probably put one up on eBay and put the other up for trade for red hard handle items.

There's a blue one on ebay right now for $165 buy it now. Even a black one would bring over $50

My snap on guy keeps relatively fresh inventory which is a bummer at times like these. I always dig around but he's never got anything like that.

If you find a black SDDM41 on that truck, though, pm me.

Updated with pics. I had to get them all, Cosmetically they are not perfect. But they weren't wrapped in plastic and they have been on a tool truck for a long time.

I never understood why people pay so much for this Snap On stuff when they sell this very nice kit for a mere $17. I keep one of these pretty much everywhere.

I have one of the Snap-on SDDD41 screwdrivers but the thing I don't like about them is they cannot be used as a 1/4" & 5/16" nutdriver like this Craftsman 41161:

However you can use the tube and bits from the Craftsman in the Snap-on SDDD41 handle. Sure wish SO would start making the SDDD42 again.
