i'm restoring three old disston hand saws i've had since my carpenter apprentice days. about 40 years ago. any bodys thoughts on what or what not to coat the blades with now that i sand blasted them. i would like them to be usable when i put them back together, so would powder coating make the blade too thick to glide through wood. paint will probably just rub off. oiling would make them dust magnets hanging on the peg board. what about "spray max"
2k clear coat with hardener in the can, $25 a can is a lot of money when i can powder or rattle can for about $5............comments, ideas ?
