Power Caster

I picked up a Power Caster at an auction for $10. It is missing the motor and the chain drive. Any help on where to get a motor for this?

Would a mobility (handicap) scooter motor work?

What is your intended use for it?
I read the specs on the web site and I think the idea of using the tongue jack to push/pull the trailer around is a bad idea. Seems like a good way to bend your jack, or strain the mount, especially with a loaded trailer.

I think I'd weld a plate under the tongue just behind the hitch somewhere, with a socket for the power caster to fit into.

The scooter motor should work fine.
To ease steevo’s fear I have seen them used with little post that fits on that stub with a trailer ball on top.
It fits into the normal ball hole on the tongue.

I agree that using the trailer jack to move the trailer around isn't a good idea but they do sell brackets that bolt directly to the tongue. I'd go that route.
