Has anyone tried the Power Extra batteries for M12 tools. They are currently on sale on Amazon.

I bought two of them about a year ago. So far, they have worked just as well as any of the other M12 batteries I have. Capacity wise, they seem to last about the same time.

I got a 2 pack over a year ago for like $25, seem ok, was just curious so I got them. I am crazy and only use them in the basic M12 light and will only charge them in a dedicated M12 charger not in my rapid station. Not risking something on a imitation battery, others have used them no problem. I get real new M12s for same price.

For curiosity's sake, I bought a pair of "FlylinkTech" branded M12 batteries to put through the paces as well ad disassemble and inspect. After about almost 3 years of use, they passed my tests so far. The runtime is equal to the Milwaukee brand packs, and the internal construction and wiring is identical to the Milwaukee packs. The only thing I have noticed is a slightly tighter fit of the packs in some tools, needing more effort to insert and remove the batteries. I will likely try the M18 versions next, I am curious how well the rather sophisticated electronics found in those will be copied. At about half the price of the genuine article, they are definitely worth it.

They work good I use one in my stick light every day.. I'd guess it lasts 4-5 hours constant use maybe more I don't keep track, the black clips are getting a little loose but it also suffers 3-5 ft falls everyday [emoji849] well worth it imo

These batterys are known to last 10 years and take a beating. Why not buy a new looking genuine milwaukee off ebay?
I just got a m18 5.0 for $34 shipped.

They are cells from North Korea.. the 2.5 Powerextra batteries are actually 2.0 cells, by North Korean standards... I bought mine off ebay, took the battery apart, sent pics of the cells inside to the selller. They sent me a refund and said keep it after I said I was gonna relist it on eBay with all the correct info and pics..

All that said.. they fit perfect, they do work. I have no real way of measuring against the real m12s I own though.. want cheap batteries, that's what they are. Just don't expect them to be the same as real ones when it comes to lifespan and they'll be fine. Under hard use they may drain quicker. Like I said, I didn't test, I just use it in a light and Bluetooth speaker.

I guess for less than half price of an OEM battery it is worth a try. It is on Amazon for $28 for a two pack.

Buy a used/dead M12 battery pack. Disassemble.

Buy 3 LG 3000 mAh "high drain" batteries off of eBay (This is EXACTLY the battery that Milwaukee is using in their new 9 Ah M18 battery pack.) About $7 to $8 on eBay.

Replace the old ones with the news one. Ob-la-di ob-la-da
