Planning a barn w/ high ceilings for a lift and curious if I should run conduit in the floor to power the lift for a cleaner look. Most lifts that I've seen run a drop from the ceiling.

Just curious to get your 2 cents. thanks

Under the floor would provide a cleaner look, but what i have learned over time my needs evolve with my garage layout changing every few years.

So I would not sweat the details and go with the drop which would give u the flexibility as your talents and needs change.

I have a conduit arch from the wall to the post of my lift. It's 8' up so my forklift mast will go under it. My ceiling is 13'6".

Mine comes down from up above. No problems. I would hate to change the location from my plan a few inches and have the electric coming out of the floor in the wrong place, hence a tripping hazard.
