I recently bought and cleaned up a POWER KING circular saw TYPE 7P SERIAL NO. 7-971 manufactured in Warsaw Indiana. I haven't been able to find any info on mine. I'd like to know the year of possible. It looks exactly like a THOR. Any info would be greatly appreciated. This saw works like a champ!!IMG_20231119_163605581.jpg

THANKS so much for sharing that!! Don't know where you found it, but I have searched and searched for anything on this saw and come up short handed. I bought it on FB Marketplace for $50 and began to think I bought some one off piece of junk. It seems to work very well and I can't wait to use it. I have an old barn/workshop I'm going to remodel and using this old saw will be a key feature in that. THANKS again!!

Power King seems to have been more interested in advertising small stationary power tools rather than handheld power tools.
The “Multisaws” Power King advertised were circular saws that could be mounted in a stand for use somewhat as a Radial Arm Saw.
I suspect that must be what this worm drive saw is, but without the stand?
Saw cost for the P-7 was $99.50 in 1941, plus $84 for the stand, and $1.65 per blade.
(The $99.50 is close to $2,000 today using the standard government inflation numbers, and over $10,000 using other inflation numbers)

Now if you can only find the stand.

Just looking thru ads, the saw seems to maybe go back to 1939 and forward thru maybe 1942, but that’s a guess.
Most of the ads are just for small stationary equipment.
The saw looks beautiful.
