Hi,

Will be using my power probe 3 tomorrow on an electrical issue on a BMW.

When using it to check the fuses (touching the tip to either side of the fuse) is it safe to use it on fuses related to the airbag system ?

You can use a good old test light for checking fuses. No need for a power probe.

I'm aware a test light will do it to, I have one. But as I will have the pp3 hooked up for other things I may as well use that whilst I'm at it.

With modern cars test lights should be used sparingly. A power probe is fine. In fact applying power to the fuse is not going to set off the air bag. The air bags power/ground comes from a control module's internal capacitor.
