Power tool grease?

What kind of grease do I lube the internal gears of power tools with?
I have a cman and I cleaned out and now need to re-grease it.

EDIT: It has metal gears

I use wheel bearing grease (syn Amsoil) in a mini grease gun to grease my air tools that have grease holes

I have a Skil random action sander thats about 15 years old. It gets some heavy use at times. I have always used 3 & 1 oil and never had an issue with the tool.

i like to use a mix of 30wt oil and stp. seems to stick to everything for a long time.
