Power tool usable storage

What do y'all use for power tool storage? Back when all I had was a cordless drill, it was easy to keep everything in the original case, including bits and batteries and even the charger. Then I got a 4 tool set, but it still came in it's own case, so that's what I used. Now I am the poster boy for the dewalt, EGO and bostitch addict threads, and have enough cordless and air tools to rebuild my house and car.... I have tried drawers in the tool chest, but everything about that *****. I have tried shelves, drawers, and "the pile(tm)" but they all ****.

So, I am looking for ideas on how to store and manage my power tools. I only have cases for 10% of my tools atm. And worse yet, instead of providing a proper tool case, many of my tools lately have been coming with these cheap worthless bags instead of boxes.

So, what creative ways do you have of managing your power tool collection's.

Nothing special. My electric corded tools and lesser used cordless are sitting on the shelf. My go to cordless tools are lined up on the bench. Air tools and still fairly used cordless are in the tool box.

I screwed PVC pipe sections to the underside of a shelf, and cut notches for the handles of my drills/drivers with an OMT. Not my idea, but it worked out superbly for my needs. I'm planning to add a battery charger board/rack as well in the future.

Otherwise semi-large pegboard hooks for my grinder are in the plans, and likely J-hooks for the solvesall (sawzall).

What other tools are you looking to hang/organize? If under a shelf isn't an option, you might be able to make something else work with pegboard hooks (and steel pegboard) or possibly making an organizer to fit in a large bottom drawer in a toolbox.

PS, batteries don't like the cold -- all my batteries have been moved from a toolbox drawer to inside the house. It might be worthwhile to have some inside tool storage too.

Only think I have seen that would maybe work for me are the 5 shelf lateral style file cabinets. But even those arent big enough for some of the larger tools like my flooring nailers and router case.

I screwed my charger to the wall, and have a little shelf to hold the spare batteries.

I grabbed one of these cases on sale one day from Menard's.

Both my Ridgid drill and impact driver fit in the bottom with a DeWalt case on top of them. That still leaves the whole tray above to store whatever and there's even a bump in between the latches that I just tossed one of those little tic tac containers of #2 phillips bit inserts in with room to spare. I just slide it on the floor under one of the shelves below one of the benches. It fits perfectly, both are together whenever I need them along with a good assortment of bits, inserts and drivers with plenty of additional storage to keep whatever else I may find handy to keep on hand at hand.

I have a row of cabinets I repurposed for my bench. I cut the front out of one and built a roll out drawer for my M18 and M12s. Works well. Now I need to figure out what to do with my Makita’s.
