...I'm not quite sure about the "wind pushing the cab" thing because that would turn into a roll force...and obviously you know that a track bar does nothing for roll..

well, if you've never felt a rig roll over around a TB pivot then you dont know what i'm talking about, no. it's why big rock rigs with no sway bars are always on their sides and why i went to 3links & coilovers instead of conventional 4link+TB suspension setups. in the front anyway.

Trans crossmember is done and I started on the floors...The entire trans tunnel will be easily removable. The transmission weighs 360 pounds and it is much easier to install using an engine lift vs. transmission jack.

Nice Work, but WOW that a tunnel!

It is not as bad as it looks, plenty of room for two feet in boots on both sides. As for the middle, you can't sit there anyway as the gear knob would be right up in ya. :bounce:

I've had my knee knocked plenty of times just sitting in the passenger seat of a wagon, wouldn't dare sit in the middle!

Hey, Wait, you mean it's no longer going to be a "roomy 3 man cab"?

Yea, it's a small cab, and with a narrower tunnel in the front you won't have to put your boot on the tunnel to work the accelerator pedal. :)

Tunnel is basically done, got one side of the floor done and the firewall done as well.

This is my first go around with sheetmetal and I'm surprised at the results to say the least.

Sweet, is that the old Cummins color? I have an old "tripple nickel" that's got me thinking. I've heard that it's not that great of an engine, but that "V-8" rhythm………..
You're doing a real nice job on your PW!

The perks of paying for the build are you get to pick the colors.

I finished machining the billet tappet cover, and milled off the ears of the vacuum pump as they were sitting very close to the power steering box. Nothing on this truck requires vacuum.

What??? CAT yellow on a Cummins? Really?:headscrat

Just kidding, have to give you ****. Looking good. I'm digging all the custom machined/fabricated parts (even if they aren't color correct).:bounce:

I think they are. There is some weird changes in the boxes between early 70s to 79, and whether its a 150, 250, or Bronco. I couldn't confirm what I needed so I got a Scout box. Watch out because some of the Scout boxes aren't hydro assist. This one is. They are $100-200 on car-part.com.
